Margie "Margaret" H. Rega, age 87, of Port Carbon, PA passed away with her daughter Linda by her side on Friday, March 7th, 2014 at the United Methodist Homes, The Wesley Village Campus in Pittston, PA.
Born in Dieners Hill, PA on February 26, 1927, she was the daughter of the late Michael and Mary (Singlar) Hebor.
She graduated from the Saint Clair High School. She worked as an operator for the Bell Telephone Company for over 25 years.
She was a member of St. Clare of Assisi Roman Catholic Church in St. Clair.
Margie was Linda's hero thru out her life and she loved to play the card game solitaire.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, John Rega in 1985, a son Ronald Rega, 2 brothers: Edward and Michael Hebor, and 3 sisters: Eleanor Hebor, Helen Jalonski, and Florence Zemantauski.
Margie is survived by her daughter Linda S. Rega, Wyoming, PA; 3 grandchildren: Ronnie, Shannon, and Kim Rega. a sister Evelyn Messina, Palo Alto; a brother Francis Hebor, Port Carbon; her daughter's favorite dogs that she loved: Rainbow, Rafa, and Kasia; and nieces and nephews
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at the Immaculate Conception Roman Catholic Church in St. Clair at 10AM on Tuesday, March 11th, with Msgn William Glosser officiating.
Interment will be held in the Immaculate Conception Cemetery in St. Clair.
Relatives and Friends are invited to a viewing on Tuesday morning from 9-10AM at the Immaculate Conception Church.
