Joan Marie Albertini, age 80, of Port Carbon, PA passed away with her loving family by her side on Thursday, March 26th, 2015 at her home.
Born in Port Carbon, PA on October 12, 1934, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Theresa (Wassel) Senkus.
Joan graduated from the St. Stephen Catholic High School in Port Carbon and then attended Immaculata University in Philadelphia. She worked in the production department for Van Heusen in Pottsville and then in the office for H.L. Miller in Sons in Port Carbon.
Joan was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother who loved spending time with her family.
She was a member of St. Stephen Roman Catholic Church in Port Carbon.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister Jean M. Sura
Joan is survived by her husband of 60 years, Alfred Albertini, Port Carbon; 2 sons: David J. Albertini and his wife Denise, Cressona and John P. Albertini and his wife Amanda, Pottsville; 7 grandchildren: Julie Drummer; Taylar Albertini; Aaron Albertini; Zara Albertini; Alexander Albertini; Daniel Albertini; and Campbell Albertini; 2 great grandchildren: Ella and Freya Drummer; a brother Charles Senkus, Port Carbon; a sister-in-law Mary Hashin, Minersville; and nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at the St. Stephen Roman Catholic Church in Port Carbon at 11AM on Monday, March 30th, with Rev. David W. Karns officiating.
Relatives and Friends are invited to a viewing on Monday morning from 9-11AM at the St. Stephen Roman Catholic Church.
Interment will be held in the Schuylkill Memorial Park Cemetery in Schuylkill Haven.
