Robert J. "Hot Foot" Reiley, age 84, of Palo Alto, PA passed away Tuesday, November 3rd, 2015 at the Lehigh Valley Hospital-Cedar Crest in Allentown.

Born in Palo Alto, PA on February 26, 1931,  he was the son of the late John J. and Edith C. (Jones) Reiley.

Bob was a graduate of Pottsville High School, Class of 1950 and then attended the Fork Union Military Academy in Richmond, VA. He served in the U.S. Air Force as a A/1C in the Korean Conflict from 1952 till 1956.

He retired from the Pottsville Bleach and Dye in Schuylkill Haven and then went to work at the Pottsville Area School District as a Security Guard.

Bob was inducted into the Pottsville Area High School All Sports Hall of Fame in 1979 and then inducted into the Tubby Allen-Chet Rogowicz Chapter of Pennsylvania Sports Hall of Fame in 1990 for Football.

He was a member of the St. Stephen Roman Catholic Church in Port Carbon and he was a charter member of the Citizen's Fire Company in Palo Alto.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 2 grandsons: Jeremy and Darrell Long, 2 brothers: Richard and James Reiley, and a sister Alice Secoges. 

Bob is survived by his wife of 31 years, Kathleen C. (Riggs) Reiley, Palo Alto; a daughter Diane Long, Orwigsburg; a granddaughter Carissa Long, Orwigsburg; 2 great-grandchildren: Maddix Kovacs and Nevaeh Houck; a step-daughter Loren Reichert and her husband William, Cressona; a step-son Duane Hepler and his wife Nancy, Cressona; 2 step-grandchildren: Jason Hepler, Harrisburg, and Melissa Hepler, Baltimore; and a niece Debbie Harvey, Harrisburg. 

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at the St. Stephen Roman Catholic Church in Port Carbon at 10AM on Tuesday, November 10th,  with Bob's cousin Rev. Robert Reiley officiating.

Relatives and Friends are invited to a viewing on Monday evening from 7-9PM and Tuesday morning from 8:30-9:30AM at Robert A. Evans Jr. Funeral Home, 208 Pike St., Port Carbon.

Interment with Military Honors will be held at the Indiantown Gap National Cemetery in Annville.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Pottsville Area Athletic Association c/o Pottsville Football, 16th and Elk Ave., Pottsville, PA 17901.
