Harry H. Brobst, Sr., age 87, of Schuylkill Haven, PA , passed away with his loving family by his side on Friday, September 23rd, 2016 at his home.

Born in Pottsville, PA on December 15, 1928,  he was the son of the late Charles and Elizabeth (Raifsnider) Brobst.

Harry worked as a Truck Driver for Pottsville Sanitation for over 30 years and then in maintenance for Pine Shirt Company in Pottsville until retiring in 1987.

Harry was a member of the Jerusalem Lutheran Church in Schuylkill Haven. He volunteered for the Salvation Army Christmas Parties and other fund raisers for over 20 years. Harry was devoted to his family and enjoyed taking care of his grandchildren, Sunday auction trips with his children, cooking with and for his family, walking and playing the lottery.  Everyone knew his as "Pap".

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son Harry H. Brobst Jr., 2 daughters: Donna M. Zelinsky and Mary Ann Brobst, a grandson Harry h. Brobst III, a granddaughter Laura  Beth Brobst, 5 brothers: Robert, Joseph, Clarence, Fredrick, and William Brobst, and 4 sisters: Hazel Brown, Mary Evans, Betsy Ansbach, and Anna Mae Krammes.

Harry is survived by his wife of 62 years, Jean M. (Luskasic) Brobst; 2 daughters: Michele G. Cicero and her husband Gary Miller, Schuylkill Haven and Angela C. Weiser and her husband David D., Schuylkill Haven; 2 sons: Thomas A. Brobst and his wife Linda L., Schuylkill Haven and John P. Brobst and his wife Barbara A.; a son-in-law Joseph Zelinsky, Mechanicsville; 19 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren, and 1 great great-grandson; a brother Charles Brobst, Minersville; a sister Mildred Brobst, California; and many nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life service will be held at the Robert A. Evans Jr. Funeral Home, 208 Pike St., Port Carbon at 10am on Thursday, September 29th,  with Pastor David Rowe officiating.

Relatives and Friends are invited to visit with the family on Thursday morning from 9-10am at the Funeral Home.

Interment will be held in the Schuylkill Memorial Park Cemetery in Schuylkill Haven.
