Samuel D. Baldwin, Jr., age 72, of Pine Grove, PA, passed away with his wife by his side on Wednesday, September 28th, 2016 at the Country Meadows Assisted Living in Hershey.

Born in Pottsville, PA on February 29, 1944, he was the son of the late Samuel D. and Jean M. (Adams) Baldwin Sr.

Sam was a graduate of Blue Mountain High School, Class of 1962. He then earned an Associate's Degree in Chemistry from Penn State. Sam worked in the chemical department and was also an assistant plant manager for Glen-Geary Brick and then he and his wife were the owners of the C&S Mini Markets prior to his retirement.

Sam was an active member of the St. Peter's Lutheran Church in Pine Grove, where he was a former member of the church council.  He was also a member of the Pine Grove Masonic Lodge 409 and the Harrisburg Consistory and Rajah in Reading.

Sam is survived by his wife of 49 years, Carol E. (Guers) Baldwin, a sister Carol Yost, two brothers: David and Richard Baldwin, and numerous nieces and nephews.

A Memorial Service will be held at the St. Peter's Lutheran Church in Pine Grove at 11AM on Thursday, October 6th, with Rev. Dr. Richard Schoenleber officiating.

Relatives and Friends are invited to visit with the family Thursday morning from 10-11AM at St. Peter's Lutheran Church.

Interment will be held private.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the St. Peter's Lutheran Church, S. Tulpehocken Street, Pine Grove, PA 17963.

The Robert A Evans Jr Funeral Home, 208 Pike Street, Port Carbon is in charge of arrangements.
