John Gary Johnson 68, of Pottsville passed away Wednesday suddenly at home. Born in Pottsville, March 7 1950, he was the son of the late John Johnson and Clare Ritzel Johnson, Pottsville.
Gary was a 1968 graduate of St. Clair High School and an union Sprinkler Fitter until his retirement.
In addition to his father he was preceded in death by one brother, Brian and a daughter Michelle. In addition to his Mother, Gary is survived by four children, Kenneth, Melissa, Nicole and Meaghan; 6 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, brother William (Ruth), sister Jacqueline (Charles) nieces and nephews. 
Religious services will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday Sept 1st at the Robert A Evans Jr Funeral home, 208 Pike St., Port Carbon.
Relatives and friends may visit with the family from 9:00 – 11:00 on Saturday at the Funeral Home.
Internment will be held private.
