Alice J. Cremia, age 88, of Pottsville, PA passed away on Sunday, November 18th, 2018 at her home.
Born in Pottsville, PA on November 26, 1929, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Anna (Marx) Bobinis.
Alice was a graduate of Pottsville High School, Class of 1947, where she was the captain of the Cheerleaders her senior year. She worked as a Police Communications Operator for the PA State Police.
Alice was a member of St. Patrick Roman Catholic Church in Pottsville, an active member of the former Mary Queen of Peace Church, and a former member of the Pottsville Mother's Football Boosters. Alice was a avid Penn State Football fan.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Francis C. Cremia on October 16, 2011, sisters: Betty Sanders and Anna Hoffman, and a brother George Bobinis.
Alice is survived by two sons: Francis "Skip" Cremia, Pottsville and Joseph Cremia and his wife Peggy Higgins, Pottsville; two daughters: Patricia Cremia and partner Helen MacMillan, Trumbull, CT and Lisa Cremia Coon, Pottsville; a grandson Brett Hutchinson and his wife Marsha, Seattle, WA; a granddaughter Brianne Hutchinson, Portland, OR; a brother Charles Bobinis, Minersville, PA; and nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Patrick Roman Catholic Church in Pottsville at 11AM on Monday, November 26th.
Relatives and Friends are invited to a viewing Monday morning from 9:30-11AM at St. Patrick's Church.
Interment will be held in the Queen of the Universe Cemetery in Pottsville.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital 262 Danny Thomas PL, Memphis, TN 38105.
