Dave's Family,
I lost track of Dave since we all grew up and moved from Garfield Avenue but I remember being with his family since I was a small girl. Dave and I went to Saint Ambrose together and I could see his home from our kitchen window growing up.
So sorry for your loss, you are all in our prayers.

Dear Cindy and the entire Wixted family. I am so very sorry about the loss of Dave. He meant so much to so many, and he will be missed. I met Dave years ago when he and his wife Cindy, used to visit their friends from Pottsville Dick and Sharon Buehler In Mechanicsburg. We became close friends and had great times together. He was an amazing, good hearted and great man. I could go on and on!!
My thoughts and prayers go out to you Cindy, and to the family. I truly loved
Dave Wixted. “MAY GOD BLESS HIS SOUL AND MAY HE REST IN PIECE”

Mr. Wixted (he'll always be Mr. Wixted) was one of my favorite teachers at Nativity. I remember him telling us about his honeymoon and he must have fallen asleep in the sun and got VERY burnt. He laughed about how he couldn't be too romantic with a bad burn! But your love lasted 46 years! I would see him time to time in town and he was always joyful and would remember me. I am sorry that we lost such a good man way too soon. My sympathy to your family. Maryanne Conway Class of 1976

Dear Cindy, David and Kevin I had the distinct pleasure and honor to be taught and coached by Dave. I also had the opportunity to Coach with Dave as well. To say he was a true mentor is an understatement. He is one of the reasons that I became a coach. He was so levelheaded and always used experiences good or bad as opportunities to tell a story of how it could be used to learn from. I know that he will be missed but take solace in knowing that God needed to have a good man, a funny man, and a good storyteller at his side.
