Allen W. Hedemann age 75, of Pottsville, PA passed away Saturday, February 6th, 2021 at Lehigh Valley Hospital, East in Pottsville.

Born in Pottsville, PA on March 29, 1945,  he was the son of the late Allen Hedemann of TX and Mary (Matier) Delenick and Peter Delenick of Pottsville, PA.

Allen was a graduate of Pottsville High School, Class of 1964. He served in the U.S. Air Force as a Sgt in the Vietnam War from 1964 to 1968. Allen would later be employed by the U.S. Navy as a Computer Program Analyst in Mechanicsburg, PA until he retired. He was also a volunteer fireman for the Good Intent Hose Company in Pottsville.

Allen was a loving and devoted husband, father, and friend to many. He loved spending time with his family and those closest to him. When not spending time with them, he enjoyed participating in billiards tournaments, softball leagues, as well as playing and coaching volleyball.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 45 years, Suzanne M. (Lendini) Hedemann on September 12, 2011, a son William Hedemann, and brother in heart and best friend Charles R. Coleman.

Allen is survived by his children Allison M. Wollyung of Llewellyn, PA, Anthony P. Hedemann, Nicole A. Melusky and her husband Rob, and Allen W. Hedemann Jr., all of Pottsville, PA, daughter in heart and niece Tawnya Bickleman of Port Carbon, PA; 15 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; along with other cousins, nieces, and nephews.

A private viewing and funeral service will be held at the convenience of his family.

Interment with Military Honors will be held at Our Lady of Calvary Cemetery in Pottsville.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Allen's name to the American Heart Association.
