Sharon Lee Engle, age 67, of Port Carbon, PA passed away Wednesday, January 15th, 2014 at Schuylkill Medical Center, South Jackson St., Pottsville. Born in Pottsville, PA on November 9, 1946, she was the daughter of the late Thomas W. and Vera (Douglas) Martin. She worked as a seamstress at the Meck Knitting Mills in Schuylkill Haven and then for the Alpha Knitting Mills in Pottsville. She enjoyed casino hopping and bingo.

Sharon is survived by her husband of 48 years, Robert E. Engle, Port Carbon; 3 daughters: Renee L. Schocko and her husband Joey M., Alpha, NJ; Tammi L. Saylor and her husband Jim, Easton, PA; and Bobbi G. Stasak and her husband Mike, Hellertown, PA; 7 grandchildren: Ryan, Tyler, Jaylyn, Joseph, Jimmy, Michael, and Marley; 6 brothers: Thomas, Ed, Daryl, Jim, Bruce, and Kevin Martin; 2 sisters: Linda Kozlosky; and Deb Harris; and numerous nephews and nieces. She enjoyed spending time with nephew Jason Martin and best friend Sadie Wetzel and her husband Jim, Pottsville, PA; She adored her 4 dogs: Molly, Sandee, Katie, and Logan.
Services and interment will be held privately at the convenience of family. Sharon's family request memorial donations go to the Hillside SPCA, Hillside Road, Pottsville, PA 17901. Please send online condolences to
