Bernice M. Ferraro, age 68, of Pottsville, PA , passed away at 10:47 AM, Wednesday, January 14th, 2015 at Schuylkill Medical Center, East Norwegian St., Pottsville.

Born in Pottsville, PA on March 1, 1946,  she was the daughter of the late Martin and Kathryn (Butscunas) Motto.

Bernice was a graduate of Saint Clair High School and was self employed in the Transportation Industry.

She was a member of former St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church in Pottsville and loved cooking and gardening.

Bernice (Nana B) touched the lives of everyone she met. She was a beautiful person inside and out. She was a very patient and kind to everyone and will be sadly missed by all

In addition to her parents, Bernice was preceded in death by a brother Martin "Moose" Motto and a sister Theresa Lavonis.

Bernice is survived by her husband of 22 years, Joseph J. Ferraro, Pottsville; son Michael Hossler, Pottsville; son Joseph Ferraro and his wife Mary Jo, Port Carbon; daughter Linda Ferraro, Frackville; son Joseph Kavanaugh and his wife Jennifer, Minersville; daughter Josette Peckman and her husband Michael, Orwigsburg; grandchildren: Joey, Sierra, DaeVonn, Gina, Jennifer, Kayla, Kylie, Jake, Nathan, and Aliyah; great-granddaughter Aubree; brother David Motto and his wife Tina, Port Carbon; niece Larissa Tobias; nephew Christopher Motto; and her care takers Heather Ingram-Womer and Roxy Straka.

A Memorial Service will be held at the Robert A. Evans Jr. Funeral Home, 208 Pike St., Port Carbon at 7PM on Wednesday, January 21st,  with Rev. Edward B. Connolly officiating.

Relatives and Friends are invited to visit with the family on Wednesday evening from 6-7PM at the Funeral Home.

Interment will be held private at the convenience of the family.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to to Bernice's husband Joe, 1 Deer Park Drive, Pottsville, PA 17901.
