Mary M. (Condrack) Tomechek, age 85, of Pottsville, PA passed away on Friday, January 16th, 2015 at Schuylkill Center in Pottsville.

Born in Port Carbon, PA on September 11, 1929,  she was the daughter of the late Frank M. and Margaret (Butcavage) Condrack.

Mary graduated from Port Carbon Soldiers Memorial High School, Class of 1947. After graduating high school, she went on to become a Registered Nurse, attending St. Luke's Children's Hospital in Philadelphia for 1 year and then transferring to the Germantown Hospital School of Nursing in Philadelphia, where she graduated in 1950.  After graduating she worked as a RN for the Good Samaritan Hospital in Pottsville until retiring in 1972.

She was a member of former St. Casimir's Church in Saint Clair and she was an avid bingo player and loved to read.

In addition to her parents, Mary was preceded in death by her husband of 48 years, Edward Tomechek on July 2, 1999, a grandson Tony Juliano in February 2012 and 2 brothers: John Condrack at his birth and Francis Condrack in July 2014.

Mary is survived by 3 daughters: Irene H. Juliano and her husband James J., Reedsville, Mary Ann Angelo and her husband Carl, Llewellyn, and Susan M. Kuschick and her husband Serge, Muhlenberg Township, Berks County; a son Edward J. Tomechek and his significant other Mary Mackiewicz, Myerstown; a great grandson Jake Anthony Juliano, West Hazleton; a sister Dolores Scanlan, Florida; and several nieces and nephews

A Religious Service will be held at the Robert A. Evans Jr. Funeral Home, 208 Pike St., Port Carbon at 10:30AM on Tuesday, January 20th, with Msgr. Edward S. Zemanik officiating

Relatives and Friends are invited to a viewing on Monday evening from 7-9PM and Tuesday morning from 9:30-10:30AM at the Funeral Home.

Interment will be held in the St. Casimir's Cemetery in Port Carbon.
