Dorothy J. Evans, age 84, of Cumbola, PA passed away Thursday, March 24th, 2016 at Schuylkill Center in Pottsville.
Born in Port Carbon, PA on July 1, 1931,  she was the daughter of the late Daniel John and Helen (Pachillis) Reilly.
Dot was a graduate of St. Stephen's School in Port Carbon, Class of 1949.  She worked in the meat department for ACME Markets in Pottsville for 35 years until retiring in 1990.
Dot was a member of Holy Cross Roman Catholic Church in New Philadelphia and a member of the Port Carbon Senior Citizens.
She was the last member of her immediate family, being preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 35 years, William B. Evans on April 18, 1991, 3 sisters: Anna Akelaitis, Margaret Wachter, and Eleanor Karlavage, and a niece Ann Morgan. 
Dot is survived by her daughter Karen Pavlick and her husband Tom, Port Carbon; her granddaughter Kelley Yondura and her husband Jason, Cumbola; her grandson Kevin Pavlick and his fiance' Alexandra Roberts, Port Carbon; 3 great-greandchildren: Harper Grace Yondura, Cameryn Paige Yondura, and Tucker James Pavlick; best friend Grace Louise Guers, New Philadelphia; and nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Holy Cross Roman Catholic Church in New Philadelphia at 11AM on Tuesday, March 29th,  with Rev. Ronald J. Minner officiating.
Relatives and Friends are invited to a viewing on Tuesday morning from 8:30-10:30AM at Robert A. Evans Jr. Funeral Home, 208 Pike St., Port Carbon.
Interment will be held in the Schuylkill Memorial Park Cemetery in Schuylkill Haven.
