Camille "Camie" McGonigle Obituary

Camille "Camie" McGonigle, age 37 of Florida, formerly of Pottsville, passed away under hospice care on February 9, 2026.
Born in Reading, PA, on January 14, 1989, Camie was the beloved daughter of Shirley A. (Kovach) McGonigle, Pottsville, and the late James A. McGonigle. She was welcomed by her two older brothers, and her parents were overjoyed to be blessed with a daughter, making her birth one of the happiest days of their lives.
Camie was a graduate of Pottsville Area High School, Class of 2007, where she was awarded the Art Scholarship. She then attended the University of the Arts in Philadelphia, the Community College of Philadelphia, and the Broward College in Florida. Camie was a Case Manager for the Source in Fort Lauderdale and also loved to waitress on the beach.
Camie was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church in Pottsville and had deeply spiritual beliefs. She was known for her creativity and artistic talents, including writing, painting, photography, and playing the piano. She was a loving mother who dearly cherished her son, Jackson Beaulieu.
If you knew Camie, you knew her beauty shined from the inside out. She endured many hardships and profound losses in her life, including the passing of her father, her brother, Jevin McGonigle, and her partner, Justin Beaulieu. The trauma of these and other losses deeply affected her and contributed to her struggles with depression and recurring pneumonia. Camie had a gift for caring for and supporting others, even when she found it difficult to do the same for herself.
In addition to her mother, Camie is survived by her son, Jackson; her brother, James McGonigle, and his wife, Debbie; two nephews; one niece; her aunt and uncle, Madelyn and Lenny Miscannon; her uncle, Richard Kovach; Linda and Al Baldinger; as well as many cousins and dear friends.
Her sudden passing leaves her family and friends heartbroken, and she will be dearly missed forever.
A Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday, March 17, 2026 at 11AM at the Robert A Evans Jr Funeral Home, Port Carbon, with Rev. Chris Rothharpt officiating. Family and friends are invited to a visitation Tuesday morning from 9:30AM until the time of service at the Funeral Home.
Interment will be private.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made for her son Jackson c/o Shirley McGonigle at 513 Willow Street, Pottsville, PA 17901.
