Chad N. Skocik age 50, of Port Carbon, PA passed away Saturday, February 8th, 2025 at his home. Born in Pottsville, PA on August 23, 1974, he was the son of the late Joseph John Skocik and Gillan Ann (Tyler) Skocik who survives him in Port Carbon. Chad was a graduate of Pottsville Area High School, Class of 1992. He then served in the U.S. Marine Corp from 1992 till 1996. Chad was a member of the Joseph Cappella Memorial Home Association in Port Carbon, where he served on the board and a member of the Mechanicsville Game and Fish Club. In addition to his Mother, Chad is survived by his son Killian B. Skocik; brothers: David Skocik and his wife Melinda and Jamie Skocik: aunt Jennifer Tyler, cousin Nicholas Tyler, aunt Christina Hughes; and good friends Tom and Ashley McCabe A Religious Service will be held at the Robert A. Evans Jr. Funeral Home, Port Carbon at 7PM on Thursday, February 1 3th, with Rev. Lorraine Heckman officiating, Relatives and Friends are invited to a viewing on Thursday evening from 5-7PM at the Funeral Home. Interment with Military Honors will be held at 10:30AM on Friday February 14th at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery in Annville.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made on Chad's memory to the Joseph Cappella Memorial Home Association.
