Charles T. Blew, age 88, of Port Carbon, PA passed away Friday, August 30th, 2024 at his home.
Born in Pottsville, PA on October 9, 1935, he was the son of the late Russell and Kathryn (Bensinger) Blew.
Charlie was a graduate of Port Carbon Soldiers Memorial High School in Port Carbon, Class of 1953. He then went to and graduated as a carpenter from the Thaddeus Stevens Trade School in Lancaster. Charlie was co-owner of the Charles T. Blew and Charles T. Blew Jr Contracting for over 30 years.
Charlie was the first boy scout in Port Carbon and he liked going to public auctions, doing woodworking, and playing the piano.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother David Blew.
Charlie is survived by his wife of 60 years, Elaine E. (Eich) Blew; sons Charles T. Blew and his wife Judy, Daniel W. Blew and his partner Delana Swisher, and Kenneth E. Blew; sister Laura Crochunis; brother Russell "Blewy" Blew; sister-in-law Anna Blew; and nieces and nephews.
A Memorial Service will be held at Robert A. Evans Jr. Funeral Home in Port Carbon at 10:30AM on Monday, September 9th, with Pastor Steven A. Schmuck officiating.
Relatives and Friends are invited to visit with the family Monday morning from 9-10:30AM at the Funeral Home.
Interment will be held in the St. Paul's Lutheran Cemetery in Port Carbon.
