Cheryl Ann (McCabe) Carter

Cheryl Ann Carter, age 66, of Pottsville, PA, passed away on Monday, February 3rd, 2025 at her home.

Born in Pottsville, PA on September 18, 1958, she was the daughter of the late Robert and Patricia (Schenck) McCabe.

She worked at Smoker's Heaven.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband Arthur James Samuels, son Jared Samuels, and granddaughter Brieze McCabe.

Cheryl is survived by her husband of 16 years, Emerson Theodore Carter; her children: Corey McCabe, Christy McCabe, Jamie McCabe, Arthur Hook, Joel Whalen and his wife Kimberly, Kisha Hook, Jeff Whalen, and Justin Whalen and his wife Ashley; twenty-three grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; brother Robert McCabe; sisters: Patrice Baskerville, Michelle Austerberry, and Ronda McCabe; and nieces and nephews.

A Memorial Service will be held at the Robert A. Evans Jr. Funeral Home in Port Carbon at 7PM on Monday, February 10th, with Rev. Jack Murray officiating.

Relatives and Friends are invited to visit with the family Monday evening from 5-7PM at Funeral Home.

Interment will be held private.
