Diane Marie (Govern) Sonoski

Diane Marie Sonoski, age 82, of Port Carbon, PA passed away Saturday, April 6th, 2024 at Lehigh Valley Hospital-Cedar Crest in Allentown.

Born in Kaska, PA on June 15, 1941,  she was the daughter of the late Stanley Govern and Stella (Kotch) Govern Fessler.

Diane was a graduate of Nativity B.V.M. High School in Pottsville, Class of 1959. She worked as a LPN first at the Good Samaritan Hospital in Pottsville in the Emergency Room and then worked and retired from the Schuylkill Center Nursing Home in Pottsville. Diane was a member of the former St. Stephen Roman Catholic Church in Port Carbon.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Richard F. Sonoski on July 23, 1996.

Diane is survived by son Richard Sonoski and his wife Yolanda, Gettysburg; daughter Kathryn Herb and her husband James, Port Carbon; son Stephen Sonoski and his fiance' Lauren, Sinking Spring; son Patrick Sonoski and his wife Brandy, Tremont; daughter Bonnie Sonoski, Cressona; grandchildren: Shannon Sonoski-Kline, Nicole Yeagley, Maria and Lexis Sonoski, Richard Sonoski III, Daniel and Justin Herb, Sydney, Audrey, and Zachary Sonoski, Emily Brown, Robert and Gracelyn Weismiller and her companion Greg Florick; great grandchildren: Brody, Reagan, Via, Presley, Archer, Bradley, and Kenley; sister Dolores Hughes, Texas; and brother Stephen Govern, Florida.  

Funeral Services will be held private.
