Faith A. (Ward) Curran

Faith A. Curran, age 84, of Pottsville, PA passed away Saturday, July 17th, 2021 at Schuylkill Center in Pottsville.

 

Born in Mechanicsville, PA on September 16, 1936, she was the daughter of the late Leo V. and Margaret E. (Harner) Ward.

 

Faith was a graduate of Pottsville High School, Class of 1954. She worked for the Pottsville Box Corporation and then was a homemaker. Faith was a member of St. Patrick Roman Catholic Church and the former Mary Queen of Peace Catholic Church both in Pottsville. She was past president of the former Ladies Auxillary of the Goodwill Fire Company #4 in Pottsville and a member of the National Association of Retired Federal Employees Chapter 0413.

 

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, Jeremiah "Jerry" Curran on June 8, 2001 and two brothers: Leo and Dale Ward

 

Faith is survived by three sons: Michael G. Curran and his wife Angela, Schuylkill Haven, Jeremiah "Jerry" Curran and his wife Jennifer, Pottsville, and Patrick Curran, Pottsville; two grandchildren: Niklaus Yeastedt and Madelyn Grace Curran, both of Schuylkill Haven; her companion Anthony Sophy Sr., Pottsville; and a niece and nephews.

 

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Patrick Roman Catholic Church in Pottsville at 10AM on Wednesday, July 21st,  with Rev Phillip Rogers officiating.

 

Relatives and Friends are invited to a viewing on Tuesday evening from 6-8PM and Wednesday morning from 8:30-9:30AM at the Robert A. Evans Jr. Funeral Home in Port Carbon.

 

Interment will be held private for Faith's family.
