Gloria Jean (Reed) Burns

Gloria Jean (Reed) Burns, age 73, of Lehighton, PA passed away at home surrounded by loved ones on Wednesday, March 13th, 2024.
Born in Pine Grove, PA on September 30, 1950, she was the daughter of the late Jacob and Angeline (Buglia) Reed.
Gloria loved spending time with her family, doing puzzles, baking, traveling, and gardening.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by step-son William J. Sophy III, sister Frances Jamosky, and brother Edward Reed.
Gloria is survived by her husband William Joseph Sophy Jr; son Vaughn Burns and his wife Patty (grandchildren: Ricky and Marky and great grandchildren: Ricky, Gabby, Bella, and Bentley); son Daniel Burns and his wife Amy (grandchildren: Ryan, Amanda, and Matthew); daughter Pamela (Burns) Fludgate and her husband Mark (grandchildren: Cody, Kayla, Mason, and Madison); daughter Elizabeth (Sophy) Musheno and her husband Mark (grandchildren: Ian and Rory); step-son Robert Sophy and his wife Marisa (grandchildren: Jessica and Robbie); step-daughter Michelle Sophy (grandchildren: Monica, Dominic, Phaedra, and Jacob; great grandchildren: Emma and Max); daughter-in-law Gerri Seiwell (grandchildren: Christopher, William IV, and Tanner; great grandchildren: Olivia, Nayah, and Lennox); sister Ann Reed; brother-in-law Jack Jamosky; and nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A Religious Service will be held at the Robert A. Evans Jr. Funeral Home in Port Carbon at 11AM on Saturday, March 16th, with Pastor Jack Murray officiating.
Relatives and Friends are invited to a viewing on Saturday morning from 9-11AM at the Funeral Home.
Interment will be held private.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
