James Richard Bowman

James R. Bowman, age 74, of Pottsville, PA passed away Monday February 1st, 2021 at Lehigh Valley Hospital, Schuylkill, East in Pottsville. Born in Pottsville, PA on December 16, 1946, he was the son of the late Frank and Elizabeth (Saro) Bowman. Jim was a graduate of Nativity B. V. M. High School in Pottsville, Class of 1964 He was the owner at B&K Fasteners in Pottsville. Jim was a member of St. Clare of Assisi Roman Catholic Church in St. Clair, a member of the Jaycee's, a past president of the Babe Ruth Little League. Jim loved to vacation in the Outer Banks and most of all, he loved to spend time with his grandchildren and attend their sports events. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 49 years, Ann Louise (Sidler) Bowman on July 16, 2019. Jim is survived by two sons: James Bowman and his wife Jody, Pottsville and Jeffrey Bowman and his wife Melissa, Colorado; a daughter Amy Heinbach and her husband David, Pottsville; eight grandchildren: Emily, Sadie, Camryn, Marlo, Lily, Brody, Jacob, and Joshua; two sisters: Joanie Kurilla and her husband Phil and Elizabeth Adams and her husband Kerry, both of Pottsville; two sisters-in-law: Deborah McGoey and her husband John and Cheryl Turner and her husband John, both of Pottsville; and four nephews: John, P.J., Corey, and Johnny. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Clare of Assisi Roman Catholic Church in St. Clair at 11AM on Saturday, February 6th, with Msgr. William Glosser officiating. Relatives and Friends are invited to visit with the family on Saturday morning from 9:30-11AM at the Church. Interment will be held private in Our Lady of Calvary Cemetery in Pottsville. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Clare of Assisi Church Memorial Fund 250 E. Hancock Street, Saint Clair, PA 17970.
