James Willaim Finnigan

James W, Finnigan, age 82, of Pottsville, PA passed away with his loving family by his side on Thursday, April 8th, 2021 at his home.

 

Born in Pottsville, PA on September 19, 1938, he was the son of the late Patrick James Finnigan and Mary (Placek) Reedy

 

Jim served in the U.S. Air Force. He worked as a case worker for Schuylkill County Area Agency on Aging. Jim loved traveling, reading, and spending time with his family.

 

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Kathleen Ann Finnigan, a daughter Kathleen Walters and a brother Arthur Reedy.

 

Jim is survived by two daughters Kelly Sterner and her husband Bill, Pottsville and Colleen Zelinsky and her husband Alan, Port Carbon; a step-daughter Michele Schappell and her husband Howard, Pottsville; a step-son Michael Carey; eight grandchildren: McKenzie and Madison Sterner, Emily and Joshua Zelinsky, Jason Walters, Lindsey Draine, and Kelsey and Matthew McGarry; and three great-grandchildren: Evrett and Brayden Walters and Colton Holland.

 

Funeral Services will be held private.
