Joseph James Motley

Joseph J. Motley, age 56, of Hegins, PA passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, September 26th, 2021 at Lehigh Valley Hospital, Schuylkill in Pottsville.

Born in Pottsville, PA on March 30, 1965, he was the son of the late  William John Motley and Barbara Ann (Bainbridge) Motley who survives him in Pine Knot.

Joe was a graduate of Minersville High School, Class of 1983. He served in the U.S. Navy 1983 till 1987. Joe worked as a power plant operator at Wheelabrator in Frackville and most recently at PIC Shamokin Dam. He enjoyed the outdoors and spending time with family and friends, especially riding with the gang.

In addition to his Mother, Joe is survived by his wife of 24 years, Linda (Fenninger) Motley; three sons: Kyle Motley and his wife Tina, Dale Motley and his wife Alyssa, and Ryan Motley and his fiance' Rebeka; a daughter Hanna Motley; a granddaughter Myla Motley; three brothers: Randy Motley, William Motley and his wife Lori, and Robert Motley and his wife Denise; two sisters: Linda Chikotas and her husband Mitch and Susan Murphy and her husband Donny; and nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services will be held private.

The Robert A Evans Jr Funeral Home in Port Carbon in in charge of arrangements.
