Marilyn Joan (Reed) Mengel

Marilyn Joan Mengel, age 85, formerly of Middleport, passed away Monday, January 15th, 2024 at Heritage at Clara Barton in Edison, NJ. 
Born in Middleport, PA on October 4, 1938, she was the daughter of the late Irvin Richard and Mabel (Smith) Reed.
Marilyn was a graduate of Ridley Township High School. She worked in the office at the Pennsylvania National Bank. She was a member of United Presbyterian Church in Pottsville, a member of the women's ministry and the Board of Elders.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband John I. Mengel Jr. and siblings: Leafie Reed Stephens, Irvin Reed Jr., Donald Reed, Lamar Reed, Russell Reed, and Carl Reed.
Marilyn is survived by a brother Allan Reed, nine nieces, great-nieces and great-nephews.
Relatives and Friends are invited to her viewing and services on Thursday from 1-2PM at the Robert A. Evans Jr. Funeral Home in Port Carbon
Interment will be held in the Church of God Cemetery in Auburn.
