Mary Skosnick Obituary

Mary V. Skosnick, age 77, of St. Clair, PA passed away with her loving family by her side on Thursday, October 15th, 2020 at her home.

Born in Saint Clair, PA on February 19, 1943, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Lucy (Lucas) Summers.

Mary was a graduate of Saint Clair High School, Class of 1962. She was a member of St. Clare of Assisi Roman Catholic Church in Saint Clair, where she volunteered with the pierogie sale. Mary was a member of the former Immaculate Conception Church and the former St. Casimir 's Church in Saint Clair. She enjoyed keeping her home and spending time with her grandchildren and attending their activities.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 35 years, Thomas Andrew Skosnick on May 5, 1998 and a sister Margaret Small.

Mary is survived by her children: Lori Schuster and her husband Charles, Michael Skosnick and his wife Donna Langton, and Tricia Moyer and her husband David; grandchildren: Caroline, Charlie, Corey, Bryan and his wife Ellen, Jordan, Megan, and Amanda; and a brother Joseph Summers. 

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Clare of Assisi Roman Catholic Church in St. Clair at 10:30AM on Saturday, October 24th, with Msgn William Glosser officiating.

Relatives and Friends are invited to visit with the family on Saturday morning from 8-10AM at Robert A. Evans Jr. Funeral Home in Port Carbon.

A private interment for the family will be held at St. Casimir's Cemetery in Port Carbon.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Therese "The Little Flower Society" 1313 N. Frontage Road, Darien, Illinois 60561.
