Shirley Louise (Thomas) McGuire

Shirley McGuire, 89, of Port Carbon, passed away on July 5, 2021 at Schuylkill Center, Pottsville. Shirley was the daughter of the late Edward Thomas and Mary Theresa (Nicastro) Thomas. Shirley was the loving wife of Joseph McGuire, who passed away on December 22, 1997. She retired from the Walk In Shoe Factory, Schuylkill Haven. She was a lifelong member of St. Stephen's Church, Port Carbon.  Shirley is survived by her children Thomas, Patrician Ann Bain, James and their spouses. She is also survived by 5 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, a brother, nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by 7 siblings.  Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, July 8 at 7 p.m. from the Robert A. Evans Funeral Home, 208 Pike Street, Port Carbon. Deacon Jack Quirk will officiate.  Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Interment will be held at the convenience of the family in St. Stephen's Cemetery, Port Carbon.  In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to The Port Carbon Library, 111 Pike Street, Port Carbon, PA 17965.
