Timothy Stephen Haley, age 74, of Palo Alto, PA passed away Tuesday, April 23rd, 2024 at his sister Lavinia's home.
Born in Pottsville, PA on August 2, 1949, he was the son of the late Willam John and Elizabeth Ann (Vogelsang) Haley.
Tim served in the U.S. Marines as a Cpl in the Vietnam War from 1966 till 1969. He worked as a Bus driver for the Schuylkill Transportation System in Pottsville for over 30 years. Tim was a member of the Vietnam Vets in Schoentown, the East End Fire Company and Citizens Fire Company, both of Palo Alto. Anyone who knew Tim, his personality was larger than life, which earned him the nickname Ralph Kramden, being a van driver for STS for 30 plus years and also driving for airport runs, weddings, and D.D. for nights out. He always went over and above with aiding the Elderly boarding, exiting, and carrying packages with kindness, which at times would even get him in hot water, getting called to the office. He loves his family, friends, and animals. Rarely would he miss a phone call to anyone of us, including nephews and nieces for a Happy Birthday, Christmas, and Easter wishes. Thanks to everyone for all the kind memories and prayer.
Tim is survived by a brother John W. Haley and his wife Patty; sister Lavinia E. Brobst; brother William M. Haley and his wife Nancy; brother Stephen T. Haley and his wife Gerri Lynn; sister Elizabeth A. Kleckner and her husband Vernon; and his wife Sandy (Zalonka) Haley, all of Palo Alto; and many nieces and nephews.
A Religious Service will be held on Sunday April 28th at 7PM at the Robert A Evans Jr Funeral Home in Port Carbon, with Rev. Kevin Bobbin officiating.
Relatives and friends are invited to a viewing on Sunday evening from 5-7PM at the Funeral Home.
Interment with Military Honors will be held on Monday April 29th at 11:30AM at the Indiantown Gap National Cemetery in Annville.
