Todd Peter Setlock (July 30, 1970- March 15, 2025)
Todd Setlock, a son of the late Jerry and Pamela (Frantz) Setlock, passed away at his home on March 15th.
Born and raised in Pottsville, he graduated from Pottsville Area High School in 1989, where he was a football player.
In his early adult life, he became quite accomplished in many fields.
Todd was very active in emergency medical services, he was an active member of the Humane Fire Company in Pottsville. He pursued and attained many certifications in the fields of:firefighting and fire instruction, rescue diving, rope rescue, EMT instructor and firearms instructor.
He worked at the Schuylkill County Prison as a lieutenant corrections officer
During this time, he was a son, brother, uncle, cousin and friend that anyone would count themselves lucky to have.
He approached life with an irreverent sense of humor, an “you only live once” attitude and was a fierce protector of all of those he held dear. His closest family and friends will always remember him that way, and can only hope that he has found the peace that he was unable to find in the years before his passing.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents Peter and Dorothy Setlock, his maternal grandparents George and Gladys Frantz, and his parents Jerry and Pam.
Todd is survived by a son, Brent Peter Setlock.
He is also survived by three siblings and their families: Elder brother Jerry of Arnot’sAddition, his wife Jennifer and their son Jerome, his younger brother Brent of Pottsville, his wife Mary and their daughters Rebekkah and Rachael, mothers of great-nephew Ansel and great-niece Eloise respectively, and his only sister Severine Setlock-Yeneshosky of Pottsville, her husband Ed, and their son Eddie.
A Memorial Service will be held on Friday March 21st at 11AM at the Robert A Evans Jr Funeral Home, Port Carbon, with Rev. Lorraine Heckman officiating.
Friends and family are invited to attend a visitation on Friday morning from 9-11 am at the Funeral Home. Interment will be held in St. Casimir's Cemetery, Port Carbon.
