Vincent Anthony LaSelva, age 69, of Palo Alto, PA passed away Friday, June 7th, 2024 at Lehigh Valley Hospital in Pottsville.
Born in Pottsville, PA on November 18, 1954, he was the son of the late Edoardo and Domenica (DeMatteo) LaSelva.
Vince was a graduate of Pottsville High School, Class of 1972. He then went to the Staunton Military Academy in VA for 1 year and last earned a Bachelor's Degree in Business and Marketing from Susquehanna University, where he was the President of his fraternity. Vince worked as a master salesman at Giles and Ransome in Bensalem, PA.
He was a member of the former St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church in Pottsville, a lifetime member of the East End Fire Company, the Citizen's Fire Company and the American Sons of Italy Club, where he was also the President for 30 plus years, all of Palo Alto. Vince was an avid Phildalephia sports fan and loved golfing and fishing. He was one of the members who started the Palo Alto Open golf tournament. Vince also played softball for the Angelucci's and the A.S.of I. and was a Big Foot Enthusiast.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother Dominic LaSelva
Vince is survived by his wife of 14 years, Mary Eileen LaSelva, Palo Alto; children: Angela Marie LaSelva, Palo Alto and Vincent Anthony LaSelva Jr. and his wife Chastity, Pottsville; grandchildren: Adalia Maria, Gianna Marie, and Domenica Violet LaSelva, Pottsville and Denver Richardson, Palo Alto; brother: Edward M. LaSelva and his wife Kathryn, Atlanta, GA; sister-in-law Tama LaSelva, Bethlehem; step-children: Kevin Riotto and his wife Sarah, Collegeville; and Janelle Mendoza and her husband David, Brooklyn NY; step-grandchildren: Jace and Nolan Riotto, Collegeville and Esme and Loic Mendoza, Brooklyn; and nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Patrick Roman Catholic Church in Pottsville at 10:30AM on Wednesday, June 12th, with Rev. Phillip Rogers officiating.
Relatives and Friends are invited to a viewing on Wednesday morning from 8:30-10:30AM at St. Patrick Roman Catholic Church.
Interment will be in the St. Joseph Cemetery in Pottsville.
