Wayne Edward Maurer

Wayne Edward Maurer, age 68, of New Philadelphia, PA , passed away with his loving family by his side on Monday, February 15th, 2021 at St. Luke's Hospital-Miners Campus in Coaldale.

Born in Pottsville, PA on July 30, 1952, he was the son of the late Arlin and Dorothy (Zimmerman) Maurer.

Wayne was a graduate of Pottsville Area High School, Class of 1970. He was a member of the Mechanicsville Fish and Game Association. Wayne was a avid fisherman and a fan of Little League. He was a hunter and trapper education instructor for over 25 years.

Wayne is survived by his wife of 38 years, Cindy S. Maurer; a daughter Natalie and her husband Matthew Fegley; a son Shawn and his wife Korrie McAnanney; two beloved granddaughters: Abagail and Averie; four sisters: Rose Maurer, Carol Bowman, Shirley Pavlick, and Alice Powers; and nieces and nephews.
