William Patrick Burns

William P. Burns, age 76, of Schoentown, PA passed away Monday, January 22nd, 2024 at The Garden's at York

Terrace, Pottsville

Born in Pottsville, PA on April 11, 1947, he was the son of the late Thomas and Hilda (McGann) Burns.

Bilwas a graduate of Nativity B.V.M. High School, Class of 1965 and then worked at SAPA in Cressona until retiring. Bill

was a member of St. Clare of Assisi Roman Catholic Church in St. Clair and an avid hunter.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother Paul McGann and a sister Ann Murphy

Bill is survived by his wife of 48 years, Elizabeth M. "Libby" Burns, Schoentown; a brother Thomas Burns and his wife

Dianne, Swainton, NJ: sisters: Peggy Smith, Pottsville, Kathy Jones, Orwigsburg, Mary Suplee and her husband Bill, Valley Forge, Denise Stoner and her husband Dan, Pottsville, and Erin Cahill and her husband Mike, Mechanicsburg; and several nieces and nephews

Funeral Services and interment will be held private. The Robert A Evans Jr Funeral Home in Port Carbon is in charge of
