John Buszta, age 93, formerly of Third St., Port Carbon, Pa. passed away Saturday at Luther Ridge, Pottsville, PA.

Born May 20, 1922 in Kaska, PA. was the son of the late John and Katherine Dzwierzynska Buszta.

John was a graduate of Soldier's Memorial High School, Class of 1940 in Port Carbon.  He served in the US Navy during WWII as a seaman second class from 1943 to 1944.

John retired after 25-years as a member of the Pipe Fitters & Steamfitters Union Local 517& 524, where he served as an officer.

He was an active member of the former St. Anthony of Padua Church in Cumbola and the Schoentown Fire Co. 

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife Helen Lukotch Buszta, his second wife Anna (Tilinski) Thormburg Buszta, his Stepmother, Tillie Buszta, brothers Walter Buszta, John Bawolek, Joseph Bawolek and and sisters Jane Gurski, Julie Wapinsky, Christine Verchick, Ann Honneycutt, and Sophie Powers.
Surviving is one brother, Sylvester Buszta, Pottstown, PA and several nieces and nephews.

A Mass of Christine Burial will be held at 11:00AM on Tuesday Dec. 1st at the Holy Cross Roman Catholic Church, 99 Valley Street, New Philadelphia, with Rev. Ronald Minner officiating.

Relatives and friends may call from 10:00AM. until the time of the Mass at the church.

Interment with military honors will be held in the St. Anthony's Church Cemetery in Port Carbon.

The family would prefer remembrances in the form of contributions to the Holy Cross Church, 99 Valley Street, New Philadelphia, Pa. 17959
