Richard Peter Trayah, age 72, of Palo Alto, PA passed away Tuesday, October 6th, 2020 at Lehigh Valley Hospital-Muhlenberg in Bethlehem,
Born in Grand Isle, VT on December 19, 1947, he was the son of the late Delbert and Shirley (Mashtare) Trayah.
Richard served in the U.S. Army doing to tours in the Vietnam War. He first worked in construction and last worked as a van driver at U.C.P. in Pottsville. Richard was an avid hunter and fisherman.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by siblings: Richard Trayah Jr., Delberta Brace, Rosalie Trayah, and Alice Trayah.
Richard is survived by his wife of 22 years, Joan M. (Betack) Trayah; his children: Denise Trayah, Joseph Trayah, Brenda Martin, Rhonda Little, Norma Cromack, and Bruce Trayah; his stepchildren Rodney and Melissa Shappell; his siblings: Lelola Griffin, Frances Trayah, Ronnie Trayah, Donna Trayah, Paulette Dennis, and Anthony Trayah; grandchildren; great grandchild; and nieces and nephews.
A graveside service and interment will be announced at a later date in the Indiantown Gap National Cemetery in Annville. The Robert A Evans Jr. Funeral Home in Port Carbon is in charge of arrangements. Please send condolences to www.robertaevansjrfh.com
