William R. "Bill" Frantz, age 68, of Palo Alto passed away with his family by his side on Friday, August 8th, 2014 at the Lehigh Valley-Cedar Crest Hospital in Allentown..

Born in Pottsville, PA on January 23, 1946,  he was the son of the late Charles and Helen (Knoblauch) Frantz.

He worked as a self-employed contractor for the Fanelli Window Pros in Pottsville for many years.

Bill will be remembered for his love of camping and fishing, his heart of gold, his sense of humor, his desire to spend time with family and friends.  But most importantly his being a kid at heart.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister Mildred Yakimo and a brother Charles Frantz.

Bill is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Carol (Geiger) Frantz, his 5 children:  Patricia Prutzman, Charles "Chuck" Frantz, Raymond Frantz, Sharon Fanelli, and William "Bumper" Frantz; 12 grandchildren;

7 great-grandchildren; 2 brothers:  Albert and Robert  Frantz; ; his best friend Tasha; and nieces and nephews.

A Religious Service will be held at the Robert A. Evans Jr. Funeral Home, 208 Pike St., Port Carbon at 11AM on Wednesday, August 13th,  with Rev. Lorraine Heckman officiating.

Relatives and Friends are invited to a viewing on Wednesday morning from 9-11AM at the Funeral Home.

Interment will be held in the Odd Fellows Cemetery in Saint Clair.
